  • Wooooah

It's been quite some time since I've posted...well I'm doing better than I have before. It's just been a really busy month.

I finally passed my math class that I had to take again. Mom told me if I failed it I could not go back to school so that was a lot of stress.  I barely passed with a 73 but I did it! Now I will be starting a 10 week summer course tomorrow. I hope it's not too hard. Yuck I haven't ordered my book yet...I should really do that tonight.

This is the first Sunday I've had off from my job at Petco in awhile and it had to be ruined by quite a migraine headache. Yuck. When I haven't been at work or doing animal care related stuff. (By the way that bearded dragon is getting bigger everyday and found out it's a girl which I previously named Wilson XD) I've been spending time with my boyfriend who is awesome. <3. I've also been chillin with my friend Kelly who lives all the waaaay in Canada :(. I wish we could live closer.

I've been also busy with animal care, as our youngest greyhound Sandy broke his leg. It's been difficult as he's a high energy dog, and he's starting to get depressed. He has 10 screws in his leg as well as a metal plate so he has a huuuge lampshade collar on that freaks him out but he can't be chewing on his bandage. He's getting better as time goes on. He can get up on his own and tries to run at some points outside, but he quickly learns that he can't do the running thing. He spends most of his days curled up on a pillow in our living room where he has to be isoloated from the other 3 dogs. There is a tank of freshwater fish in there that he keeps an eye on.  He is such a sweet dog and I can only hope for his speedy recovery.

I finally got coral for my salt water tank, it's a star polp that looks like daisies when it's out. Its really cool. Except I heard they spread like crazy when they are older. ...meeep!  I have it on an island in the middle of the sand so I should be able to trim it back and such.  I hope that works out as planned! Otherwise I have a clownfish, a fire fish and a scooter blenny as well as a bunch of crabs and a shrimp and a few snails that are my clean up crew. The crabs have been responsible for a few a few deaths in the tank. Including a Lawnmower Blenny that I had for a bit. :( But they do a good job keeping the bottom clean. So it all works out. No over priced protein skimmer yet and the tank is doing fine....oh well haha....I'm sure something is bound to go wrong with it soon just like my car and other stuffs.

I'm gonna get goin <3, See ya next time!

  • Eeeep!

I'm so sorry for my fail of blogging. Ugh my life has been super busy!
Between college and work and friends I've been having a hell of a time trying to keep up with everything.

I was recently introduced to Repo!: The Genetic Opera and I LOVE IT.  If you liked Sweeney Todd you'd probably like Repo it's pretty good.  Since last post I painted my room bluuuuue and got some nifty curtains.  I will add more later this is just to let anyone who even reads this know I'm still alive.

  • Holy crap....

It's been a long time any readers out there....haha....I keep looking at the site and going 'oh I should post!' and then I get side tracked horribly.....Oh man since November 28th......a lot of stuff has happened, I guess.

I had a peaceful winter break.  I've had comings and goings with my saltwater fish but I'm getting better at it as I go. I currently have a clown fish, a black capped basslet and a fire fish that are all eating and doing well for the most part.

On Decemeber 17th Lance and I's half kitty got spayed she's spent most of her time here since than oddly enough since my mom so 'doesnt want another cat' haha!  I'm slowly making her fall in love so I get to keep her. XD.

Christmas was quiet, I went to my brothers house and had dinner and stuff there. Got to see my niece who turned two on the 19th of December. Time is really flying, every year that goes by it seems the days are shorter and shorter. It's kinda scary. Anyhoo,

I'm in my second year of community college taking Math, Abnormal Psychology, Music and Genetics and oh yeah....kinda added a bearded dragon to the family XDDDD

Employee killed when shoppers stampede as Long Island store opens

NEW YORK–Police say a Wal-Mart worker has died after being trampled by a throng of unruly shoppers shortly after the Long Island store opened today.

Nassau County police say the 34-year-old worker was taken to a hospital where he was pronounced dead at about 6 a.m., an hour after the store opened.

Police also say a 28-year-old pregnant woman was taken to a hospital for observation.

Wal-Mart Stores Inc., in Bentonville, Ark., would not confirm the reports of a stampede during the day-after-Thanksgiving bargain hunting, but said a "medical emergency" caused them to close the store.

    Second Article:

Nassau County police said the 34-year-old man was taken to a hospital where he was pronounced dead at about 6 a.m. ET, an hour after the store in Valley Stream on Long Island opened.

A police statement said a throng of shoppers "physically broke down the doors, knocking him to the ground." The exact cause of death "will be determined by the medical examiner's office," the police stated.

A co-worker said the clerk was "bum-rushed by 200 people," according to the New York Daily News. "They took the doors off the hinges," said Jimmy Overby. "He was trampled and killed in front of me. They took me down too ... I literally had to fight people off my back."

Police added that "a 28-year-old pregnant female was also transported to an area hospital for observation."

Shopper Jessica Keyes told the Daily News that she saw the woman being knocked down near where the worker lay dying.

According to Keys, when paramedics arrived they told the woman that "there's nothing we can do. The baby is gone."

But a police spokesman later said both the woman and her unborn child were doing fine.

Other shoppers said people kept entering the store as emergency crews attended the woman and store clerk.

"They were working on him, but you could see he was dead," the Daily News quoted shopper Halcyon Alexander as saying. "People were still coming through."

"They're savages," shopper Kimberly Cribbs said of the crowd. "It's sad. It's terrible."

Police added that three other shoppers " suffered minor injuries and were transported to area hospitals."

Ellen Davis, a spokeswoman at National Retail Federation, said the group knew of no other incident where a retail employee has died working on the day after Thanksgiving.

Wal-Mart is working closely with police, company spokesman Dan Fogleman said. “The safety and security of our customers and associates is our top priority,” Fogleman said. “Our thoughts and prayers are with them and their families at this difficult time.”

    Snipets:

"Kimberly Cribbs, who witnessed the stampede, said shoppers were acting like 'savages.... When they were saying they had to leave, that an employee got killed, people were yelling 'I've been online since yesterday morning. They kept shopping.'"

And if that wasn't disgusting enough, according to shoppers, they kept on trampling the paramedics, too, while they were trying to work on him and the pregnant woman.

This is why I HATE Black Friday....It's not that hard to orderly go into a store without killing people. It's just a store, it will always be there. Every year something happens to somebody on Black Friday, and it shouldn't.
It aggrivates me that a worker who was probably up early just to come in to help out with the day, had to die because people are too foolish to enter the store at a reasonable pace they would any other day, no matter how fast you run to the item that's on sale, it's still going to be on sale. For christ sakes. Chill OUT people. It makes me worry that anyone who I happen to know that works in retail every year and no one should have to worry.
    --------------------------------------------------------------------------

    Anyway moving on with life....

Thanksgiving went rather well had Cinnamon Rolls in the morning around 10am and around 3:00 went to visit my mom's cousins son's kids (Wow that's a mouthful)....who I haven't seen in six years. My family was here and Lance came over for dinner as well. We had some of the best mashed potatoes ever, pillsbury croissants, turkey, stuffing, sweet corn, beans, and cranberries. (Which I did not eat) Then there was a cake mom found that is actually a series of cupcakes rather than one single cake which was pretty good. Things all settled down around 9 PM and I spent the rest of the night surfing the internet, and then when I got bored of the PC I watched the movie Secret Window until I was too tired to keep my eyes open.

This morning when I woke up I cleaned up the basement since the cats stuff has been moved down there and the lovely evil kitten has a field day with the litter box and there was litter EVERYWHERE....I swept all that up and cleaned the cat box and all that fun stuff.

Since then I've been sitting in my room waiting for anyone at all to come home and chat online while I do some of my bowling homework.

    ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I'm not sure if anything really exciting has happened in the past month or so....I don't know. Things are pretty much going on as they had been. I finally got the Death Note movie and Volume 3 of the anime so I've been watching those...my favorite character is indeed  L

..and I'm pretty sure I made it to the next round of NCC Idol. They told me they would call me back.

Anyway...if I think of something else I will add it....Till next time-

"I can ride my bike with no handle bars..."

    Hey ya'll....

If anyone out there is reading. It's time for me to update again! It's been pretty hectic around here these past few days there are wood floors being put in a lot of the rooms in my house, as well as the carpet being replaced on our stairs, they did put floors in our study which has the main internet connection and due to them working we have been losing our connection in and out for awhile, hopefully they will be finishing up on Thursday.

I have a whole list of stuff to do for tomorrow, to prepare for them to come by and work in our family room area. I'm not looking foward to that part...the only thing I guess I'm really looking forward too from this is....well maybe two things.

    1. Not having to evade the carpet that is at the end of the hall where my room is...I used to have to jump over it...(Out of my OCD) because our little italian greyhound who is not house broken...chose that end of the hallway has her spot to kinda just go....so the carpet was F.U.B.A.R (...fucked up beyond all recognition)...and I hate wearing shoes so being barefoot and stepping in a spot where the dog has pissed and shat about a hundred times....even though the carpet has been repeatedly shampooed....it's just still not my thing.
    2. Now that the floors are done in the study. I can finally get going on setting up a salt water aquarium! I was going to do it before but then I realized I should wait until the floors are in so I wouldn't have to move the tank and all that fun stuff!

Sadly, my parents ordered this flooring back in July...O_o and it took the company this long to put it in!

I watched the end part of the debate last night, which has really pushed me to be an Obama fan, I really like his ideas, and that he's not just totally focused on war as Mccain seems to be...but that's just my view of it at the moment. I never really get into all this politics stuff...but this seems to be a crucial time to pay attention to someone.  Especially with the shape our environment is in, as well as the economy...thank god the gas prices are dropping though.... it was only 2.95 today! We're getting somewhere...way better than 4.17 per gallon.

I did go to Dorney and had quite a good time but due to a series of misunfortunate events I kinda busted up my big toe on my right foot, and it's not fun x_X. Doctors say there is no fracture but it definately feels a lot different, maybe I bruised the bone so bad that it just doesn't wanna move....it's weird. I thought it would be a little better by now but it's stayed the same....even though I doubt the Field Ecology trip I took to the Catskills Mountains above Woodstock N.Y helped matters any...I don't regret doing the hike though, it was beautiful. Ergo the pictures:

This is a waterfall that was chillen on our way up...

The body of water there is a resivoir..this is from uptop the fire tower...CIMG1263
See..I wasn't joking XD there is the shadow of the fire tower....
    CIMG1261
The leaves are stsarting to change color ^_^CIMG1280
    Many, Many Mountains..... ^^

Let's see.......uh....I don't think anything else really has happened lately, just working and school....and chatting online, and driving, and eating ice cream haha....oh yeah and watching Speed Racer....and speaking of that Scott Porter who plays Rex Racer, I've been looking into some of his work on "Friday Night Lights" and I think I'm slowly starting to like the show even though it's all about football, the characters are really neat, including his.

I've been listening to a song by the Flobots, and I'm not really into rap that much but here are the lyrics...it's a deep song....a rap song with deeper meaning lol...don't come across those every day.

I can ride my bike with no handle bars,
    no handle bars...no handle bars.
I can ride my bike with no handle bars,
    no handle bars...no handle bars.

Look at me, Look at me,
hands in the air like it's good to be alive,
and I'm a famous rapper even when the paths
    are all crookedy...

I can show you how to do-si-do,
I can show you how to scratch a record.
I can take apart the remote control,
and I can almost put it back together.

I can tie a knot in a cherry stem,
I can tell you about Leif Ericson
I know all the words to "De Colores"
and "I'm Proud to be an American"

Me and my friend saw a platypus,
Me and my friend made a comic book,
and guess how long it took.
I can do anything that I want, cause look:

I can keep rhythm with no metronome,
    no metronome, no metronome.

I can see your face on the telephone,
on the telephone, on the telephone.

Look at me, Look at me,
Just called to say that it's good to be alive,
in such a small world, all curled up with a book to read.

I can make money, open up a thrift store.
I can make a living off a magazine.
I can design an engine, sixty four miles
    to the gallon of gasoline.
I can make new antibiotics, I can make computers survive
    aquatic conditions.
I know how to run a business, and
I can make you want to buy a product.

    Movers, shakers, and producers.
Me and my friends understand the future.
I see the strings that control the systems.
I can do anything with no assistance, cause:

I can lead a nation with a microphone
with a microphone, with a microphone.

I can split the atoms of a molecule
of a molecule, of a molecule.

Look at me, Look at me
Driving and I won't stop, and it feels so good
    to be alive and ontop.

My reach is global, my power is pure.
My cause is noble my tower secure.

I can hand out a million vaccinations
or let'em all die in exasperation.
Have'em all healed of their lacerations or
    Have'em all killed by assassination
I can make anybody go to prison
    just because I don't like'em.

I can do anything with no permission,
I have it all under my command.

I can guide a missle by satellite,
    by satellite, by satellite, and

I can hit a target through a telescope,
through a telescope, through a telescope.

And I can end the planet in a holocaust.
In a holocaust, in a holocaust.
in a holo caust, in a holocaust
    in a holocaust...

I can ride my bike with no handle bars,
no handle bars, no handle bars....
